"In the first step the Planetary Nervous System will use only the sensors, which are in smartphones," Dirk Helbing said. The large-scale distributed research platform will provide real-time social mining services as a public good and should be managed by citizens. Thereby the citizens can maintain control over their data, Futurezone writes.
